Welcome back, my loves!
The late year transition from Sagittarius into Capricorn season is probably my favourite time of the year. Sagittarius energy fills me with hope and optimism - perfect for setting ambitious intentions and creating a vision of what I want to manifest. Then we switch into no-nonsense Capricorn and the possibility of achieving this vision becomes real. A step-by-step plan begins to emerge. I love riding this emotional wave. That, and there’s also something so satisfying about a new calendar or planner.
Not every year was a smooth ride, however. This year, the astrology could challenge many of us a bit more than usual, so if you’re feeling frazzled rather than festive, then my wish for you is that this newsletter can bring you a bit of grounding and comfort.
I’m bringing you some advanced-level tips for your vision board, powerful journalling prompts to help you clarify your vision and a ritual for New Year’s Eve that will allow you to alchemise your past experiences into fuel for your desires.
No matter how December is going for you, I hope that you’ll look back on it with fond memories one day. I’ll see you again in the next issue which will be this year’s final one to step into the future together.
Sending you lots of love for the weeks ahead and wishing you a beautiful holiday season,
Chrissy
Working with the Moon
The final lunar event of 2025, the Sagittarius New Moon is taking place on Saturday, December 20th at 1:43am UTC, so most of us will be experiencing it in the night between Friday and Saturday.
Sagittarius energy allows us to tap into our inner philosopher, adventurer or scholar. It bolsters us with a hefty dose of optimism and allows us to dream big and see the bigger picture.
This New Moon is the perfect time to rewrite your story and start setting intentions for the next year. Think about what you want to explore (places, concepts, ideas) and what you want to experience in 2026. Allow yourself to go big and be ambitious with your intentions. It’s not until the next day, when the Sun moves into grounded Capricorn, that we can start breaking down more practical ways in which we might achieve these goals.
This New Moon conjuncts both Venus and Juno, so once you have created a grand vision for the next year, another question to ask yourself is who you want to experience this grand vision with. Perhaps it’s somebody who is already in your life, or perhaps you long to meet someone new to fill a perceived gap?
Take some time to consider this question and the answer might surprise you. The New Moon is at the tip of a yod from Uranus in Taurus and Jupiter in Cancer - what previously felt comfortable and comforting may no longer bring that same feeling of safety. It’s a point of creation where you get to redefine what makes you feel safe and what gives you that “at home” feeling.
Year End Alchemy Ritual
From eating particular foods to decorating your home, to smashing plates or lighting fireworks - every nation in the world seems to have their own New Year traditions. It goes to show how deeply ingrained our need for ritual is in major transition periods like stepping into the next year. We inherently understand the importance of marking an end of something while creating a new beginning.
Consider this ritual your invitation to refine your preferences, focus your intentions and alchemise any challenges you’ve come across this year into rocket fuel for your 2026 self. This one is best done on New Year’s Eve, but if you might wish to try the journal prompts further down below around the Sagittarius New Moon first, to help you gain additional clarity.
For this ritual you will need a bundle of dried sage (or Palo Santo), a pen, 3 pieces of paper and a fireproof container. Crystals, candles, incense, relaxing music and a fun drink are optional but add to the vibe. Here’s how to do it:
Cleanse your space and yourself thoroughly with the smoke from the sage or Palo Santo. Ensure an outside door or window is ajar when you do it so the smoke has somewhere to escape. Banish any energy that isn’t aligned with your highest good.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths through the nose, deep into and out of your belly. Relax any areas of tension like the neck and shoulders, jaw or hips.
Take the first sheet of paper and write down everything you’re grateful for from this year. This can be experiences you’ve had, people you’ve met, lessons you’ve learned, who you’ve become as a person and much more!
Close your eyes again. Visualise yourself as you, exactly one year older on 31st December 2026. This version of you has just had the best year of their life. All of their dreams and wishes have manifested. What are the things they’re grateful for? Open your eyes and feel into the emotion while you write them all down on the second sheet of paper.
On the third piece of paper, write down all of the things you are ready to forgive that happened in 2025. These could be people who wronged you, things that have happened around the world, or perhaps any challenges you were faced with that overwhelmed you. Remember that forgiveness is not absolution - it doesn’t make whatever happened ok, but it releases your emotional attachment to the person or event, so that you can be free from its mental and emotional burden. In what ways can you forgive yourself?
Place the first piece of paper in your notebook, journal or diary. You can refer back to it whenever you’re having a difficult day to remind yourself of all the good you already got to experience.
Place the second piece of paper in an envelope and address it to yourself, one year in the future. Put it away until next New Year’s Eve, then review it as part of next year’s ritual. You have created the possibility of this reality existing in the future.
Burn the third piece of paper safely over a fireproof container. Feel into the sense of forgiveness once again. Imagine the flames transforming any lingering heaviness into fresh energy that you can use to fuel the vision of your new reality. You’ve created a container for your vision, then you added energy. Now all you have to do is let it unfold.
Manifestation Technique of the Week
Many of us love making a vision board for the new year and the days leading up to and on the New Moon are some of the best to make one. That’s because Sagittarius energy gives us optimism and an ability to better see the bigger picture. It pretty much puts the vision in vision board.
Then on December 21st, the Sun moves into Capricorn. Grand ideas become more grounded and seeing what it is that you want to experience will keep triggering your subconscious mind to find ways to make this vision a reality.
If you’re struggling for time and don’t think you can have it ready by the New Moon, I’d suggest that you at least find the images that inspire you and then you can still sit down and put them together whenever suits you better.
I don’t need to explain to you how to make a vision board, but here are some general tips to make December 2026 the month when you look at your vision board totally gobsmacked about how many things have manifested into your reality.
And if you’d like some help defining what it actually is that you want in 2026, then look no further than the journalling prompts below this section!
Split your life into several categories in order to gain a full 360º perspective. We want our vision boards to be an immersive representation of the life we aspire to, so we should make sure to look at it from many different angles. Some examples: Health & Fitness, Career & Finance, Romantic Relationship/s, Friends, Family & Parenting, Creativity, Spirituality, Skills & Intellectual Life, Environment, Community. It’s ok to leave some out if they either don’t apply to you or just aren’t something you care about that much, just make sure that you’ve at least thought about it so it’s a conscious decision to exclude any area rather than oversight.
Pick images that evoke emotion in you. If an image puts you in a daydreamy mood where you can easily imagine what’s going on outside of the photo frame then that’s perfect! What matters is that it resonates and stirs something within you, rather than just being a generic representation. For example: A lot of people will put having a fit and healthy body on their vision board, but while for me a picture of a yoga mat evokes that emotion, to you it might feel pretty bland and you’d rather have an image of some weights at the gym, or a bike, or some running shoes, etc.
Wherever possible pick images that are taken from a first-person perspective. We want to be able to see ourselves in these images, not other people. So if what you’re desiring is a happy relationship, an image looking down at a pair of holding hands will work better than a photo showing a couple far away in the distance. Even better if you can match your skin tone, hair colour, sense of style etc of the people on the images to your own. You can even use AI to superimpose yourself into the photos to make it even more convincing!
Include images that contain a variety of goals, with some being more achievable and others more aspirational. The achievable ones will build your momentum while the aspirational ones fuel your sense of direction.
Put your vision board somewhere you’re going to see it regularly. If you made a physical one, hang it up somewhere you spend a lot of time. If you made a digital one, set it as your desktop or phone background. Look at your vision board regularly, make yourself feeling the emotions you expect to feel when those things manifest and give gratitude for them in advance. That’s how to pull in the magic for 2026!
Journal Prompts
Sagittarius New Moon Journalling Questions:
Close your eyes and imagine it’s one year from now. 2026 was the best year of your life so far. Journal on what images come to mind and how you feel.
What parts of that vision are you already living right now, even if it’s to a lesser extent?
If your life was a book or a movie, what would you want to see for the main character (you) in the next chapter? Is there a challenge they need to overcome?
What’s one dream/wish/adventure that has been popping up again and again this year but that you keep dismissing?
Why do you think you dismiss it? Does it feel scary or uncomfortable? If anything was possible and you knew you couldn’t fail, how would it feel then?
Which area of your life could use a little more optimism?
Where in your life are you ready to expand your beliefs and understand things from a different perspective?
Where do you crave more freedom?

Even after living and breathing and teaching manifestation for so long, I still fall into traps and have to remind myself of the basics again from time to time. Currently I’m reading Your Best Year Ever by Michael Hyatt to refocus myself in a practical (very Capricorn) way. For a refresher on the more mental and spiritual level, I’ll be following it up with a re-read of Mike Dooley’s Infinite Possibilities.
