Happy New Year, my loves!
Apologies for going MIA for a little while. I had some much needed time off over the Christmas period and then spent New Year’s in bed so sick I couldn’t even think straight enough to finish the last newsletter although it was already 75% done. I’m happy to report that I’ve recovered now and am back with even more ideas and juicy manifestation and astrology guidance.
Life has a way of humbling us like that sometimes. All of December I’d been telling anyone who would listen about how important it is to take it step by step during Capricorn season. To build gradually rather than go into January 1st all guns blazing trying to be a new person just because we’re replacing our calendars. Just in case I even thought of pushing too hard, this time the universe forced me to listen to my own advice. Maybe I couldn’t go on any long walks to watch the sunrise, but closing my eyes and meditating for a few minutes was totally doable. Maybe an hour of Pilates was out of the question, but I could manage a few twists and yoga stretches in bed. It was about celebrating the small progress and keeping ambition in check.
The downtime also forced me to reconsider my goals (or lack thereof) for 2026 and brought about some interesting insights about how to set goals and most importantly which ones to set to give yourself the best chance of manifesting all that you set out to do. I share these in this issue’s Manifestation Technique of the week.
I hope you started the New Year happy and well, but regardless of how you feel, let this be a reminder to be gentle with yourself. May 2026 be the year all your wildest dreams became your living, breathing reality.
All the love, joy and abundance for the year ahead!
Chrissy

Key Astro dates for your calendar
The second half of January is rich in conjunctions between personal planets and Pluto, the planet of power, transformation and rebirth. If you have any placements in Aquarius, chances are you may end the month in a very different place to how you started it.
January 18: A New Moon in Capricorn offers a powerful opportunity to set or refine intentions for the year ahead. Vesta conjunct Pluto and Mercury conjunct Mars demand however that these are followed up with consistent, devoted action. (More on the New Moon below in Working with the Moon)
January 20: The Sun and Mercury both enter Aquarius, marking the start of Aquarius season. This is the time for innovative thinking, wide spanning collaboration and daring to be different.
January 21: A Mercury Cazimi in brilliant Aquarius promises mental clarity that leads to genius insights. The perfect day for brainstorming sessions. Make sure you keep note of any ideas that come in today!
January 23: Mars enters humanitarian Aquarius and shortly after the Sun conjuncts Pluto on the same day. Expect power struggles on a global scale, disruptions and revolutions. It’s the time to speak up for what you believe in, but careful to keep yourself safe as well.
January 25: Pallas enters Pisces. Strategy becomes informed less by logic and more by intuition.
January 26: Neptune enters Aries heralding the beginning of a new 150 year cycle and a huge societal shift. We are done with idealising gurus or martyrs and shift our attention towards the warriors and the pioneers instead.
January 28: Mars conjuncts Pluto, making this one of the most irritable days of the year. Tempers may flare easily. Steer clear of petty conflicts today as they could easily escalate. Giving in is a sign of wisdom rather than weakness today.
January 29: Venus conjuncts Mercury in Aquarius. Remember those genius ideas you came up with on the 21st? Today you can take them even further by talking them through with someone close.
Working with the Moon
The first New Moon of 2026 starts the year off with a bang. Right towards the end of Capricorn season, this New Moon is about more than just setting intentions and wishing for something to come. With Mercury, Mars and Venus all close by, this New Moon wants us to put our thinking hat on, create an action plan and go out there and get what we want.
On the same day Vesta meets Pluto in Aquarius, promising that transformation and new heights of power are possible if we can devote ourselves to our new path. Let me tell you, the astrology of early 2026 is loaded and all clues point towards new beginnings not just on an individual level, but for all of humanity as a species. The Capricorn New Moon marks the beginning of the new beginning.
Traditionally, Capricorn energy likes us to make concrete long-term plans. If Capricorn could ask you just one question, it would be the dreaded “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?” The thing is, though, that this is a pretty complicated question right now. When we’re at the precipice of so many huge global changes (AI, quantum computing, economic and political instability, to name just a few) how is anyone supposed to know what life is gonna look like in one year, never mind in 10??
The only answer that makes sense is to focus instead on the person we are becoming. Less “Where do you want to be” and more “Who do you want to be” or “How do you want to be” in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years? What’s important to that person? What are their values and how do they embody them? As always, you can find some journalling prompts to help you discover the answers to these questions below.
Some other fun ways to honour this New Moon are as follows:
Wear dark green, black, grey or navy
Burn patchouli, rosemary or cypress oil/incense while meditating or journalling
Carry an onyx, garnet or malachite crystal
Burn indigo, black or grey candles
Drink chamomile tea
Affirm “I step into the year ahead with wisdom, focus and discipline.”
Manifestation Technique of the Week
This one might seem quite basic, but despite actively teaching this stuff, it was something I needed to be reminded of recently, so maybe you could use a reminder, too. Or maybe this is actually totally new to you. Either way, the start of the year is a great time to start thinking about this one.
Let’s look at your goals and the things that you want to manifest this year. Maybe you’ve written down a list, maybe you’ve put together a vision board. Maybe you’re super organised and have broken things down into quarterly goals. How “achievable” would you say these are? Are they mostly easy wins that build slowly on what you already do and have? Or are they big visions where you don’t really know how you’re ever gonna get there?
Many of us tend to go in either one of two directions: Either we try to play it safe to avoid being disappointed if something doesn’t happen for us, or we get swept up by big dreams and big visions - after all, don’t all the books and podcasts and gurus tell us to reach for the stars?
The truth is that in order to successfully manifest, we need a mixture of goals that are easily achievable, some that stretch us and some that get to the essence of our big wild dreams. Focus too much on the easy wins and you end up staying stuck. Life doesn’t really move forward and you’re missing out on huge opportunities because they feel scary or just not realistic.
But going straight to the big, grand visions presents its own set of issues. This is where I found myself going wrong the last 2 years. I’d achieved all of my easy wins and even manifested all of the things that seemed a bit of a stretch - but I never replaced them and just left the big, life-changing goals on my lists. What I had totally forgotten about was just how important those consistent boosts are that you get when you achieve something that you set out to manifest - especially those things that seemed just a little bit out of reach when you first wrote that goal down.
That’s because manifestation works so much on belief. You don’t just manifest what you think about - otherwise we’d all be blissful, sexy millionaires. It’s about the vibration that you send out and what you truly believe is possible for you. That belief is something that needs to be built up gradually over time. Just like you wouldn’t try to run a marathon if you haven’t exercised in a year or you wouldn’t try to write a book in Spanish if you can barely string a sentence together, you can’t expect to just go straight to the big scary life-changing manifestations. Of course you are capable of running that marathon and writing that Spanish novel, but it’s gonna take some practice.
My personal recommendation is to split your goals into about 50% easy wins to get the momentum going, 30% stretch goals that feel a bit out of reach but will make you feel amazing and magical when they happen and 20% big vision goals where you don’t know yet how you’re gonna get there but are willing to work towards them.
So today, take a look at your goals and your vision board for the year and make sure that you are satisfying all 3 of these sections. Next January, what you consider to be an easy win or a stretch goal will likely have shifted, but that’s the beauty of Capricorn season. It celebrates progress over perfection and it shows you just how powerfully consistent action can compound over a year.

This time I’m bringing you the journalling prompt in a handy dandy PDF which you can download below. You can type or draw directly in the file, or if you prefer to write by hand, you can print it and write in the provided spaces.
If time is short (I get it), pick just 2 or 3 questions that stand out to you the most and get your thoughts flowing onto the paper. As it’s the start of the year we’re using this time to get clear on our yearly goals. In future issues, we will then work on how you can embody the person who has already achieved all of these goals in order to help you manifest and attain them.
