Welcome back to the Manifestology newsletter!

As expected, the start of Aquarius season has already been intense with mass strikes, protests and people just generally being fed up with things and called to start being vocal about it all.

The beginning of February offers just a touch of respite with planetary activity slowing down a little bit before ramping up again massively towards the middle and the end of the month. Use this time wisely to figure out what makes you feel grounded, safe and connected. For me, that’s a walk in nature (ideally with an iced coconut latte from my favourite cafe), daily breath work and moments of gratitude and mindfulness. Once the intensity ramps up again around mid- to late February, these tools will become indispensable.

Aquarius season is also a great time to build your network. Reach out to the people you care about and let them know that you care about them. If you’re reading this newsletter that means I care very much about you too. Thank you for being here, thank you for reading and supporting my endeavours.

May your manifestations come to you in the most beautiful way this year.

Lots of love,

Chrissy

Key Astro dates for your calendar

Compared to the last few months, February starts out relatively slow from an astrological standpoint - a pretty good thing if you ask me, as we’ll all still be grappling with Neptune’s monumental shift into Aries. Towards the middle of the month we slowly begin pivoting towards stronger Piscean energy. Our intuition sharpens, dreams may become a lot more intense and creative inspiration can come seemingly out of nowhere.

February 1: We start off the month with a beautiful Full Moon in Leo. Other than longer-ranging outer-planet aspects, there isn’t much else happening around this Full Moon, which means that in true Leo fashion, all of our attention will be focused on one point. Check out the “Working with the Moon” section below for a deeper dive.

February 4: Uranus stations direct making its way slowly but surely through the final degrees in Taurus. Expect one final push for innovations related to money and financial markets, properties & housing or anything related to the senses like cooking or perfumery.

February 6: Mercury moves into Pisces and the way we think and communicate changes. In its previous sign we were able to build networks of ideas, but they were still on a logical level. Now we begin to communicate more intuitively, picking up subtle nuances behind words. It’s a great time to connect words with art through writing, speaking or poetry.

February 9: Mercury conjuncts Pallas in Pisces. Stay open to intuitive hits about situations you’ve been stuck on for a while.

February 10: Venus enters Pisces, marking the start of one of the most creatively inspired months of the year. If there’s ever a time to make space in your day for art, music or any creative outlet of your choosing, it’s now!

February 11: Mercury enters its pre-retrograde shadow, meaning anything it activates for you from now on will be repeated a total of 3 times: Once now, once during retrograde and once more afterwards. Pay attention to how the story unfolds in the common days.

February 12: Mercury now conjuncts the North Node and a story around your destiny is starting to take shape. Pay attention to any clues that could subtly foreshadow a new direction your life is taking.

February 14: Happy Valentines Day! This year’s celebration of romance has a bit of a serious tone to it as Saturn moves into Aries forcing us to become serious about the parts of our lives that require our courage and initiative. We may see a few spontaneous proposals on this day.

February 15: Mars and Vesta meet in Aquarius. If you’ve been struggling to keep motivated towards your goals or resolutions by now, you may find some innovative new ways to keep yourself going. There’s a lot of energy available to put towards that which we devote ourselves to.

February 16: Venus conjuncts Pallas in Pisces activating our feminine wisdom. What activities get you into a flow state? Maybe it’s dancing, maybe it’s painting, maybe it’s running or something else entirely. Today, make time for those - even if it’s just a few minutes.

Working with the Moon

When we think about our dream lives and what we are trying to manifest, it’s quite natural to look at all of the things we want to add: More money, more love, more freedom, more security, more fulfilment. Unless we’re trying to kick an unhelpful habit like smoking, we rarely stop to think about what’s in our current life that needs to be removed to make our grand vision possible. It’s just not something that comes naturally, but that doesn’t mean it’s not important.

Be honest with yourself: Does the highest and best version of you that’s already living your dream life sacrifice their sleep in order to scroll in bed for hours? Do they endlessly people-please and say yes to everything without an ounce of respect for their own time and energy? Do they act out and say things they later regret to their loved ones? Of course not. This full moon is an invitation to look at what we might be currently doing that is keeping us small and keeping us away from our dream manifestations - honestly, but not judgmentally - and let go all that no longer serves us so that we have more space in our day to fill it with all those amazing things we’re dreaming about.

This Moon in particular is asking us to closely examine all the shadow aspects of Leo energy. Where in your life are you over-reliant on external validation? Where do you feel like you have to take the lead because you don’t trust others on their own path, shaky as it may be at the beginning? Where do you fall into patterns where you’re constantly seeking out drama? Or perhaps it goes into the other direction - is there anywhere you have been shunning the limelight when you really need to be stepping into it? We dive a little deeper into these questions in this issue’s journalling prompts as always.

Some other fun ways to celebrate and honour this Full Moon:

  • Meditate on the Strength (corresponds to Leo) and Star (corresponds to Aquarius) tarot cards

  • Carry a rose quartz with you, even better if you can hold it close to your heart, as that’s the seat of Leo power

  • Light pink or gold candles

  • Do something fun with your hair - Leo is all about the mane

  • Wear shades of yellow, red, orange or russet and/or wear gold jewellery

Manifestation Technique of the Week

One of the most common pitfalls I see people fall into on their manifestation journey is to get overly hung up on how something is going to come to them. Especially if you have a lot of fixed energy in your natal chart, that is placements in Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio, you may find yourself seeking comfort in planning out each step of your journey and imagining how it will unfold. That in itself is fine, but it becomes problematic when we get overly attached to things happening that particular way.

Our minds are mostly only able to process that which is already familiar to them. A truly original thought is rare, something we’d call a genius idea or a psychic insight, hinting at the fact that those thoughts don’t seem to come from our ‘normal’ way of viewing and experiencing things. The problem is that when we imagine things happening a particular way, that is probably going to be based on what we’ve already experienced. But what about the hundreds, if not thousands of other ways? It’s like standing in a hallway full of open doors in all different colours. The universe is standing behind 20 of them with a gift basket full of all of your desires, but you’re shutting it all out because you insist that you will only accept this gift basket if it comes through a door which is one particular shade of green.

Let me illustrate with an example. Let’s say you want to manifest more money and are planning to double your income in the next year. You’ve had a brilliant business idea and can visualise it taking off and being the source of all the extra income you wish for. You become single-mindedly focused on making your business idea work, because you are convinced that this is your ticket to your new desired income.

But what if it doesn’t work out? What if the product flops, the business goes under and you lose it? If you were fixed on this being your ticket to your dream income, you may just give up on your dream, decide that this ‘manifestation nonsense’ doesn’t work or just isn’t for you, or that you’re somehow inadequate and may never receive what you wished for. The green door closes and you still refuse to look at any of the others.

On the other hand, if you’re open to other possibilities, then you may see the business 'failure’ as a lesson, or even an opportunity instead. What if the whole point of the business was to teach you all the skills you need for your next idea? What if it was meant to put you in touch with someone who will help you create that income in a totally different way? What if you learn something from this venture that makes you highly desirable to your dream company that then offers you a position with the exact salary you’d hoped for? What if the point was to subtly remove money and abundance blocks in your subconscious so income can start streaming in from various other sources? If you’re open and let go of the “how”, you have the ability to look around and see the dozens of other doors that are opening for you, taking you exactly where you wanted to go.

Here’s a fun exercise to help you release the ‘wicked how’ and surrender easier to the flow of things coming to you. Decide what it is that you want to manifest (even better if it’s something you’ve been stuck on for a while). Then write down 25 ways that could come to you. Allow yourself to be creative and see possibilities where before you’ve seen restriction. These ways can be as implausible as you want, though they should adhere to known immutable laws. Example: Your elderly neighbour passes and grants you a large chunk of money in their will? Check. Getting into a time machine so you can invest into Apple shares and real estate at the age of 3? Not so much. Finally, at the bottom of the page write “Any of these or better”. Voila, you have just opened an infinite amount of doors. Now leave it up to your Higher Self to figure out the best door to deliver your wishes to you.

Journalling Prompts

Access your Full Moon journaling workbook via the link below. You can either write on it digitally, print it out and use the spaces provided to journal your thoughts, or choose just a few questions that resonate with you and ponder them in your regular journal.

With this Leo Full Moon we are working on releasing where we have been performing and staying stuck waiting for other people’s approval. Your vision for your life is authentically yours, so the way to manifest it must also be authentically yours and you cannot make that happen if you’re constantly putting on an act for people. These prompts will help you discover and release any such instances.
